Bread Machine – Honey Wheat Bread

A whole wheat honey bread recipe is an excellent alternative to the store-bought honey wheat breads.  Not only are the store bought breads full of preservatives but they are generally unable to provide the warm richness of a home-baked loaf of bread.

This honey wheat bread recipe is a quick and easy way to bake a loaf of bread for school lunches or as part of a Sunday brunch!

Ingredients you will need: Spelt loaves
1 ½ cup whole wheat flour
1 ½ cups of bread flour
1/3 tsp salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 ¼ cup warm water
3 tbsp honey

Directions:
1.  Sift all dry ingredients together until well blended.
2.  Place dry ingredients into bread machine’s bread pan.
3.  Add the remaining ingredients into bread pan.
4.  Select the Wheat Bread setting on bread machine.  Start.
5.  Allow your bread to cool on wire rack.

Tips!
- Consider using honey derived from your area; often available at most grocery stores or even a farmers market, local honey can not only provide you with the best in flavors but it can also offer a means of building an immunity to local plant and tree allergens!
- Lightly toast a slice of your honey bread, top with local honey for a delicious, and nutritious start to your day!
